FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 9
High Salary SG
DeMar DeRozan-Toronto Raptors (8,000): DeRozan dropped a season-high 35 points on the Wizards last night adding eight boards in his 40 minutes to get to 49.1 fantasy points. Tonight, he’ll look to keep things going against the 76ers, and he will get as much playing time as he can handle with the Raptors wing depth stretched paper-thin. If Terrence Ross is unable to play tonight, James Johnson is the teams only SF meaning DeRozan will likely spend plenty of time at the three. Before last night’s game he was struggling a bit, so he’s not a lock. He is, however, in a good spot to succeed against the Sixers tonight, so go with him if you have the salary to spend. ∗∗
Klay Thompson-Golden State Warriors (7,800): Last night my FanDuel daily picks at SG were DeRozan and Klay Thompson. Thompson also come through with a big game scoring 36 points and adding six rebounds and five assists for a total of 50.7 fantasy points. Thompson has at least 40 fantasy points in five straight games and has 30 points in four of those five outings. Tonight, he’s in a good matchup against the Kings who allow the seventh-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG. Thompson has averaged 20.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists against Sacramento this season but did score 29 points against them when the two teams last met on December 28. Thompson has the potential to go off any night, and he has been picking up the slack while Steph Curry plays through his shin injury. ∗∗∗∗
Victor Oladipo-Orlando Magic (6,000): Oladipo continued to excel last night while filling in for Elfrid Payton at the point. He scored 20 points for the second straight game last night and added nine rebounds, three steals, and two assists for a very nice 37.8 fantasy points. He has at least 30 fantasy points in four of his last five games and will be a great option again tonight against the Wizards as long as he stays in the starting lineup. Oladipo is a multi-category contributor and he looks like he’s back in a strong place in the Orlando rotation since coach Scott Skiles has been praising his defensive work lately. If he continues starting-∗∗∗∗∗
