team. 66.
At least the Suns won a game this week.

Phoenix’s home victory over Charlotte on Wednesday is enough to remove the Suns from the depths of the number one slot, but that doesn’t mean things are going well. Jeff Hornacek remains on the hot seat in a big way, and the talent isn’t matching up with the product on the court right now.

Only the Sixers have been worse than the Suns over the last 14 games, where Phoenix has a -11.1 net rating, and until real improvement is displayed, we can’t overlook their current level of play in favor of a higher place in the standings.
. (13-26). Previous: . Phoenix Suns. 2

Previous: . Philadelphia 76ers. 1. team. 93.
It is amusing to consider that Philadelphia is playing their best basketball of the season… and they still managed to plummet back to the basement. To be fair, the Sixers have always been the worst team in the NBA this season, but with Phoenix getting a win this week to stop the madness in the desert and Philly losing by 28 points at home to Atlanta in their last contest, this couldn’t be avoided.

While the Sixers picked up another win (number four!) against Minnesota this week, it was sandwiched between two comical showings against the Clippers and Hawks, and it was the defensive end that sunk Brett Brown and his club on both occasions. Unfortunately, the defense has been the “bright” spot when taking a glance at the full season, as Philly remains the worst offensive team in the NBA with a 93.0 offensive rating in their 38 games.

There are signs of life in the city of brotherly love and that is a good thing for everyone involved. That doesn’t mean they can escape from this “honor”.
. (4-38)
