54.
In 2015 it was the Summer of George, er, the Offseason of Chip. Mad scientist Chip Kelly blew up his team, traded superstars, brought in “his guys” and proceeded to underwhelm on the way to a missed postseason. Rather than let the club gel for another season, Jeffrey Lurie cut the madman and now faces another season in flux.

Does anyone – outside of Chip Kelly apologists, the most blindly loyal Eagles fans and his own family – believe that Sam Bradford is the answer at quarterback? No? No. Good.

When staring at the draft board, the Eagles are salivating at the idea of taking Paxton Lynch with the thirteenth pick. Heck, they had thought about trading up to get him, but after failing and seeing Jared Goff and Connor Cook go to the Browns and Niners, respectively, they’re ecstatic to have their guy.

Lynch is going to be the darling of many scouts’ eyes in this draft. He’s huge – at 6’7 almost too big to be a quarterback – and has the arm and legs that’ll make many drool. He thrived this past season in Justin Fuente’s high-powered offense, and look for him to trend as a buzzword throughout the combine/testing process.

When all is said and done he could very well be the top quarterback prospect on big boards. As of now he has slipped to the Eagles at No. 13, and the Philly fanatics can once again dream of a bright future.
. QB. Memphis. Paxton Lynch. 13. player
