28.
The Oakland Raiders – likely soon to be the Los Angeles Raiders pt. II – exceeded expectations during the 2015 season. A young team, they possessed more firepower than many saw coming and were one of the season’s best surprises. With the likes of Derek Carr, Amari Cooper, Rod Streater and Latavius Murray, the Raiders boast a youthful, explosive offensive core.

The defense, however … woof. When the bright spot of your defensive roster is an 18-year old veteran playing his last season, then yeah, it’s time for a bit of a facelift. Farewell, Charles Woodson, you were one of the greats.

Everything is coming up SoCal for the Raiders, as they dip into new neighbor USC to take early entrant Su’a Cravens. To some this might seem like a reach, but it’s actually a sneaky-good pick by the Silver and Black. Cravens is a freakish athlete who fashions himself as a hybrid safety-linebacker.

He has the speed to keep up with wide receivers in the secondary, the power to come up and play in the box against the run, and the lateral quickness to roam the middle and defend from the linebacking position. In Cravens, the Raiders have just picked a jack of all trades defender who, after a couple of seasons learning the playbook, will be set free to do as he pleases wreaking havoc.
. LB. USC. Su'a Cravens. 14. player
