CB. Clemson. Mackensie Alexander. 8. player. 59.
Miko Grimes might go to the mattresses when talking about Ryan Tannehill being inefficient and a coach killer, but the Miami Dolphins have more pressing concerns than an overpaid quarterback. Mrs. Grimes should look right in the defensive backfield where her hubby Brent resides, because the mighty mouse can’t do it all on his own.

Miami was downright putrid during the 2015 season. Remember: this was a team many expected to supplant the New England Patriots atop the AFC East. And then midway through the season Joe Philbin took a trip to England, got his teeth punched in, and was canned less than 48 hours after his return. Dan Campbell didn’t perform much better in his stead.

Now that the Dolphins have Adam Gase as their new head coach – a great hire, and one of the top prospects on the market – the temptation might be to draft on offense. However, with Mackensie Alexander sitting on the board and a dire need in the secondary that’s where the team goes. Boom, defensive backfield locked down.

Alexander has shot up draft boards as this season has progressed. He’s anchored Clemson’s secondary and helped man one of the nation’s top defenses (one of the most underrated, too). Between he and Grimes, the Dolphins have two island defenders who can shut down the Edelmans, Amendolas, Marshalls and Watkins of the division.
