High Value PF

Nikola Mirotic-Chicago Bulls (5,800): For at least Joakim Noah’s first night back, Mirotic managed to retain much of his fantasy value.  He only scored seven points last night against the Wizards but his nine rebounds, two assists, and two blocks helped him to tell get to 27.75 fantasy points. He has at least 25 fantasy points in six in a row including a pair of games with over 40 fantasy points. Tonight against the Bucks, Mirotic should again get the start at SF, but his minutes are a little less certain now that Noah is back in the mix up front. ∗∗

Tristan Thompson-Cleveland Cavaliers (5,100): Thompson doesn’t have a ton of upside, but he’s very low risk since he has been logging so many minutes in the middle for the Cavs. Cleveland has plenty of offensive options, so they rely on Thompson for rebounds and solid defense which he typically provides.  He has had three low-level double-doubles in his last five games and has at least 21 fantasy points in four of his last six.  He’s low-risk, but he also doesn’t have a ton of upside tonight in Dallas.

Larry Nance Jr.-Los Angeles Lakers (4,900): The Lakers are banged up in the front court right now with Brandon Bass and Julius Randle dealing with injures.  As a result, Nance got to play 37 minutes on Sunday and he finished with ten points and 11 rebounds on his way to 32.75 fantasy points. He has a pair of double-doubles now in his last five games and three in his last nine.  Nance has been able to get at least 21 fantasy points in five of his last six games, so he’s a relatively safe option for tonight as well against the Pelicans front court which may be without Anthony Davis.

Amir Johnson-Boston Celtics (4,700): Johnson is starting to solidify his role in the Boston front court and is on his best run of production so far this season.  He has at least 12 points in four straight games and almost always chips in solid rebounds and blocks all well. He has at least 27 fantasy points in four of his last five games, and he’ll be in a good matchup tonight against the Knicks as the Celtics head to Madison Square Garden. ∗∗∗∗
