High Salary D

Roman Josi-Nashville Predators ($7,200): Josi is up to 31 points for the season and has two assists in his last two games. After a breakout season last year Josi is on pace this year to put up even better numbers. He gets a ton of ice time and has been producing at a high rate for fantasy owners with an average of 4.2 fantasy points a game. Of course, Brent Burns is a no-brainer at defenseman, but he will eat a ton of your cap space. Josi can be a top producer for over $1,000 less.

Kris Letang-Pittsburgh Penguins ($5,900): Letang still has a great price tag for the production he is able to put up. He was shut out in his last game on January 9 but had nine points in the three games prior to that. Carolina presents a bit of a tough matchup tonight but since returning from injury Letang has been very kind to fantasy owners.

High Value D

Anton Stralman-Tampa Bay Lightning ($4,900): Stralman has been on a tear lately and kept it going with two assists on January 9 against Vancouver. That pair of helpers gave him seven points over his last six games. He’s still available at a good price but will likely have a bit of a higher ownership number. A favorable game with Colorado makes him a strong fantasy play tonight.

Niklas Hjalmarsson-Chicago Blackhawks ($3,500): Hjalmarsson has been on fire over the last two games. He picked up a helper on Sunday and racked up a goal and an assist on Friday. He has not been a big producer this season and went 11 games without a point before the current streak he’s on. He could be getting hot and is worth a start at a very low price.
