DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy hockey lineup- January 12
High Salary G
Devan Dubnyk-Minnesota Wild ($7,800): Dubnyk dealt with a minor injury issue a few weeks back but seems to be settling back into his role as Minnesota’s top netminder. He was excellent on Saturday night, stopping 34 of 35 shots against a high-powered Dallas Stars team. Dubnyk has won two of his last three starts and gets to face a struggling Buffalo team tonight.
Corey Crawford-Chicago Blackhawks ($8,200): Crawford picked up his 23rd win of the season against Colorado on Sunday. He now has wins in each of his last five starts and is proving yet again that he’s one of the top goalies in the NHL. He’s got a talented team in front of him that’s really hot right now. Crawford and his mates face a Nashville team that’s struggled to score this season.
High Value G
Louis Domingue-Arizona Coyotes ($6,500): Without question, Louis Domingue is the top pick at goalie tonight. The new starter in Arizona has been red-hot lately with wins in four of his last five games, including three-in-a-row. His price is still extremely low for the numbers he has put up and he gets an excellent matchup with Edmonton tonight. Domingue and the Coyotes are rolling now, ride the wave with your fantasy lineup.
Brian Elliott-St. Louis Blues ($7,500): St. Louis is handcuffed at goalie right now with Jake Allen out with an injury. Brian Elliott will assume the starting job in his absence. He’s the confirmed starter for tonight and will look to build on his strong performance in Los Angeles on Saturday night. He stopped 26 of 27 shots versus the Kings and pulled out the win in a shootout. Tonight’s opponent, New Jersey, is ranked 29th in goals per game, making Elliott a solid choice in net.
Connor Hellebuyck-Winnipeg Jets ($7,200): Hellebuyck has done a good job serving as Winnipeg’s starting goalie. He’s hit a rough patch lately with an overtime loss and a regulation loss in his last two games. However, he won two-straight games prior to that. Hellebuyck is a speculative play tonight but he has talent has catches a San Jose team on the second night of a back-to-back. It’s a risk-reward situation with Hellebuyck tonight, so take a chance if you are feeling lucky.
