2. Anaheim Ducks

The Anaheim Ducks have holes to fill and that’s something that cannot wait until the NHL trade deadline. So much is at stake for the Ducks. Their front office and head coach both know that their jobs are on the line this season. The Pacific Division is quite pitiful this season other than the Los Angeles Kings. The Ducks must be looking at the NHL standings and be thinking that this could be their best shot at doing something in the playoffs for a while.

The Ducks holes are quite simple. They need scoring and offense. Lots of it. Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry have both been very disappointing this season. The Ducks don’t have much scoring depth behind those guys and it has shown. They are likely to pursue Jonathan Drouin, P.A. Parenteau, and pretty much any living human being who can provide something on offense.

The Ducks have a good farm system that they can deal from as well as most of their draft picks for the next few seasons. Considering what is at stake for the Ducks this NHL season, expect them to get dealing sooner as opposed to later. This could be the Ducks last run with their current NHL roster, front office staff, and coaching staff.
