Winner: NFL

The NFL is another win in the Rams’ relocation to Los Angeles. If they are able to get the San Diego Chargers there eventually, then it will be an even bigger win for the league as they tap right back into the Los Angeles market.

For years, the league has been dominated in revenue by the big market cities on the eastern side of the country, while the western side just hasn’t had the markets that produce the same numbers as the east coast. If there’s a city that stands a chance of competing on the west coast with east coast numbers, it’s the Los Angeles Rams.

Everyone knew the day was coming when the league would make their way back to Los Angeles. While it’s going to take a while to see how it plays out, especially with the new stadium for the Rams not being ready until 2019, there should be some sort of impact before then.

The fans are going to want to come out to support the team that they lost. When the new stadium is built, it’s a perfect place for future Super Bowls to be held. There’s plenty of opportunity to be had in Los Angeles beyond the Rams.

The league has always known this and now they can execute plans in the region.
