High Value C

Robin Lopez-New York Knicks (5,000): Lopez is another cheap play to take a look at as he faces off with his brother across town tonight.  The Nets have actually been the most generous team in the NBA to opposing centers, so look for Robin Lopez to be a good value against Brook and Brooklyn tonight.  Robin Lopez has at least nine points in six straight games for New York and has totaled at least 20 fantasy points in each of those six contests highlighted by a 42.25 fantasy point night against the Hawks to start the “New Year-New RoLo” campaign. In another side note, I think he’ll play with both shoes on tonight… just saying…∗∗

JaVale McGee-Dallas Mavericks (3,500): It’ll be interesting to see how the Mavs attack tonight’s game in OKC since the last time they played an OT game they sat their starters the next night.  Whether he gets expanded playing time due to resting players or just a few extra minutes with Dirk and Zaza coming off of heavy workloads, McGee is the best cheap flier at center given his recent level of production. He has at least eight points in four of his last five games with multiple blocks in three of those contests.  He had a pair of games over 20 fantasy points last week against the Kings and Pelicans, and hopefully he can carve out enough playing time again tonight to be profitable if you decide to punt this position or if the Mavs decide to give Zaza or Dirk the night off. He had a solid night last night with three blocks and ten points against the Cavs for 16.75 fantasy points.

Marreese Speights-Golden State Warriors (3,300): Speights is only worth a look if we get confirmation that Draymond Green is getting the night off.  If that’s the case, Speights could get enough playing time to be a significant steal.  He had 12 points and ten rebounds in 24 minutes the last time he got extended playing time which was against the Lakers back on January 5.  He can definitely produce when given playing time, so look to him as a great cheap play if Green is out. No Draymond-
