High Salary PG

Damian Lillard-Portland Trail Blazers (9,100): OF the five big-name PG who cost over 9K, I think the best option for tonight is the cheapest, Damian Lillard.  Lillard is playing at home against the Jazz tonight looking for his fourth straight game with at least 44 fantasy points. He had a monster 63.6 fantasy points on  Friday against Golden State and followed that up with 49.9 fantasy points in a win over the Thunder on Sunday.  Lillard is the focus of the Blazers attack and has returned to form quickly after missing some time around the holidays with a foot injury. Since he costs less than the other elite options, I think he has the most potential to return value even though obviously the other four guards ahead of him on the salary structure all have the potential to go off as well. ∗∗∗

Isaiah Thomas-Boston Celtics (8,300): Thomas has been carrying the Celtics offensively in their last two games with 35 and 34 points against the Grizzlies and Nets while passing out eight assists in each game and limiting turnovers enough to chip in 50.6 fantasy points and 51.6 fantasy points. Tonight, he and the Celtics try to stop their four-game skid as they return home to host the Pacers.  Indiana is excellent at limiting opposing PG’s fantasy production, but Thomas has averaged 20.5 points and 5.5 assists in their two previous meetings and given his current form still makes a good play tonight.

Rajon Rondo-Sacramento Kings (8,000): Rondo played limited minutes in the Kings loss to the Warriors, but had three straight games with at least 40 fantasy points before his 21.6 last Saturday. He should be back to that higher level of production tonight against the Pelicans who are playing on the second night of a back-to-back and have allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing PG on the season. So far in 2016, Rondo is averaging 10.3 points, 14.5 assists, 2.3 steals, and 6.0 rebounds per game.

Tyreke Evans-New Orleans Pelicans (7,800): In the same matchup from the other perspective, Tyreke Evans will be fired up to take on his old team as the Pelicans roll into Sacramento.  Last year, he averaged 21 points, 7.3 assists, and 7.0 rebounds against his old squad in four games against the Kings.  He comes into their first matchup this year in good form averaging 22.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 2.0 steals over his last four games and has at least 30 fantasy points in seven straight contests.  He should be stet up for success again tonight against the Kings who have allowed the third-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG.  Anthony Davis’ status also could give him a boost since he has to carry the offense even more when Davis is out as he has been the last two games for New Orleans.∗∗∗∗∗

Michael Carter-Williams-Milwaukee Bucks (6,900): Carter-Williams bounced back from a bad game Sunday with 30.8 fantasy points last night against the Bulls on 11 points, six assists, three steals, and four rebounds.  He has been putting up nice balanced stat lines lately and with Jerryd Bayless out has been getting a heavy workload at the point.  He has played at least 35 minutes in five of his last seven games, and he will look to capitalize on that playing time again tonight as the Bucks take on the Wizards in Washington to close out their back-to-back.
