High Value SG

Kent Bazemore-Atlanta Hawks (5,800): Bazemore is in a good matchup tonight against Charlotte whether you consider him a SG (like FanDuel) or a SF.  The Hornets have allowed the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SF over their last five games and have allowed the fourth-most to opposing SG so far this season.  Bazemore himself has averaged 19.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 1.0 assists in his two meetings with the Hornets.  He has at least 29 fantasy points in four of his last six games, and I think he’ll be lined up for at least that many again tonight making him a very nice play as the Hawks head to the Hive. ∗∗∗∗

Joe Johnson-Brooklyn Nets (5,000): Another SG to take a look at is former-Hawk Joe Johnson who has been playing an increased roll in the Brooklyn offense since Jarrett Jack’s injury despite battling a quad contusion of his own.  Johnson has scored in double digits in five of his last six games and has at least 19.6 fantasy points in each of those five outings.  He is considered probable tonight against the Knicks despite missing practice yesterday. ∗∗

Garrett Temple-Washington Wizards (4,500): Temple is less well-known than Johnson, but has been able to put up similar production lately since he has been starting for Washington in place of Brad Beal.  Temple has at least 19.8 fantasy points in four of his last five games with double-digit scoring in five of his last six.  He and the Wizards face the Bucks tonight, and Temple is a solid play even though he doesn’t have a super-high ceiling.

Marco Belinelli-Sacramento Kings (4,300): Omri Casspi’s expected return makes Belinelli a little more high-risk than Temple, but he has more upside and has been playing very well lately for the Kings.  He has six straight games with double-digit scoring and has at least 25 fantasy points in three of those six games with at least 18 fantasy points in all six.  He’s in a great matchup against the Pelicans tonight who allow the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG, so he should be a productive option as long as his time isn’t cut too drastically from his 32+ minutes he has been playing.

Gerald Green-Miami Heat (4,100): Green has been a regularly recurring character in my FanDuel daily picks lately and has at least 22 fantasy points in five of his last seven games including all three on Miami’s current road trip.  He has at least 13 points in each of the three games on the trip with solid non-scoring stats as well as he plays the role of Miami’s sixth-man who is getting 34 minutes per game in each of those three contests. I don’t love the matchup against the Clippers, but I do think he’ll produce again tonight and is a bargain at this salary.
