High Salary SF

Kevin Durant-Oklahoma City Thunder (10,000):  Durant is the big name in the SF pool tonight and is coming off 41.9 fantasy points last night in Minnesota where he scored 30 points to go with seven boards and three assists.  He has at least 39 fantasy points in each of his last five games including a pair of 50-fantasy-point performances.  Tonight, he and the Thunder will be back at home for the first time in a week as they host the Mavs who played an overtime game last night against the Cavs.  In that game, LeBron had 49.5 fantasy points, and Durant will be looking to put up similar production tonight.  It will be KD’s first matchup with Dallas this season, but his recent scoring form and Dallas’s tired legs make him a good pick for tonight.

Paul George-Indiana Pacers (9,000) George played just 27 minutes last night against the Suns which should keep him fresh for tonight’s game against the Celtics in Boston.  George has torched Boston this year averaging 26 points, ten rebounds, three assists, and 1.5 steals in their earlier two meetings this season. He hasn’t had a monster rebounding game lately, but his multiple steals and other non-scoring stats have kept his fantasy value up despite a bit of a shooting slump.  George has at least 45 fantasy points in four of his last seven games, and I think there’s a good chance he’ll get to that number against Boston tonight based on his past success against the C’s and that they allow the ninth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SF.

Gordon Hayward-Utah Jazz (7,300): Hayward and the Jazz head to Portland to face the Blazers for the third time this season. In their previous meetings, Hayward has averaged 21 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.0 steals. In his last ten games, he has at least 32 fantasy points six times, and if he can reach that level again tonight he’ll be a solid option.  He has had some issues on the road lately, although he seemed to overcome them Sunday against the Lakers when he had 25 points, three blocks, two assists, and two rebounds for a total of 33.4 fantasy points.

Danilo Gallinari-Denver Nuggets (7,200): Like Hayward and George, Gallo knows his opponent well tonight as the Nuggets will be facing Golden State for the fourth time this season. He has had a surprising amount of success against the Warriors in their two games this season averaging 22.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.0 steals.  He has also been on quite the roll lately averaging 25.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 0.8 steals in his five games since missing time with an ankle injury. He has at least 32 fantasy points in each of those five games and has over 40 fantasy points in two of them. Given his role in the Nuggets attack, a couple days off since his last game, and his current form, I think he’s set up for a big game again tonight.

Khris Middleton-Milwaukee Bucks (6,700): Middleton bounced back from an empty stat line Sunday with 16 points, nine assists, and six rebounds last night against the Bulls for a total of 36.7 fantasy points. Those numbers give him at least 35 fantasy points in three of his last four games and five of his last eight.  Fatigue could be a factor for Middleton, but playing over 38 minutes a contest has been the norm for him lately.  Tonight, he’s in a tasty matchup against the Wizards who allow the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SF, so try to get him in your lineup tonight if you can.∗∗
