2. Cal QB Jared Goff – 25/37 for 467 yards and 6 TDs vs. Air Force Academy

With the NFL Draft right around the corner, potential first-round QB Jared Goff put up his best performance of the season. He also looks to be the front-runner ahead of Memphis’s Paxton Lynch and Michigan State’s Connor Cook to be the no. 1 quarterback selected in 2016.

After struggling through a four-game losing streak with the Golden Bears through October (9 TDs, 8 INTs), Goff ended the season as well as he started it, culminating in a blowout victory over Air Force. The Cal quarterback finished with 19 touchdowns and 1 interception in his final four games in Berkeley, capping his career off with 4 touchdowns in the first half of his first and final bowl game. Few players had more riding on their Bowl game performance, and only one outperformed Goff this bowl season.

While this year’s draft won’t have the consensus 1-2 quarterback combo at the top like last year’s, there’s still plenty of intrigue regarding this year’s class with teams like Cleveland, Houston, and St. Louis in desperate need for a leader under center.
