High Salary C

Brook Lopez-Brooklyn Nets (7,600): Lopez will take on his former backup Mason Plumlee tonight in Brooklyn as he looks to continue his run of impressive results.  In his last ten games, Lopez has six games with at least 40 fantasy points including his last game on Wednesday which came against the Knicks when he finished with 20 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and a pair of steals against his brother Robin.  The Blazers have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing centers, so Lopez should turn in another excellent line tonight as long as the game doesn’t turn into a blowout early. ∗∗∗∗

Hassan Whiteside-Miami Heat (7,000): Whiteside is probable for tonight’s matchup against the Nuggets which sets him up for a big return to the starting lineup.  He has managed a double-double in each of his last two games despite being limited by a bad knee.  Whiteside is averaging a double-double with 12.1 points, 11.1 rebounds, and a solid 3.8 blocks per game.  He should be able to put up big numbers against the Nuggets front line tonight although there is risk with him so closely removed from injury.

Greg Monroe-Milwaukee Bucks (6,900): Monroe has double-digit rebounds in five straight games and has double-doubles in four of those contests falling just a point short in his other game.  In his seven games this month, he is averaging 17.4 points and 10.9 rebounds while producing at least 33 fantasy points five times.  He’ll be taking on the Hawks and Al Horford tonight who were just torn up by Cody Zeller on Wednesday.  It should be another good game for Monroe, and I think he has a good chance of being worth his 6.9K salary. ∗∗
