High Value C

Amir Johnson-Boston Celtics (5,500): Johnson has been one of my best FanDuel daily picks over the last few days, and he’s been rolling since the start of the New Year. In his seven games in 2016, Johnson has five games with at least 27 fantasy points and is coming off his best performance of the season with he had 14 points, 18 rebounds, six assists, and two steals against the Pacers on Wednesday.  He should again be a force to be reckoned with in the middle tonight at the TD Garden as the Celtics take on the struggling Suns.

Mason Plumlee-Portland Trail Blazers (5,200): Tonight’s game could be a triumphant return for Plumlee who was traded by the Nets this past offseason. This will be his first game against his former team who is currently allowing the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing centers.  Plumlee has run a little hot-and-cold over his last ten games with four games with over 30 fantasy points and six games with under 20 fantasy points. He should be aggressive and ready to go tonight making him a high-risk play with a lot of upside against the Nets.

Joakim Noah-Chicago Bulls (5,100): While the probable return of Pau Gasol leaves Joakim Noah’s upside lower than Plumlee’s, he’s a much safer pick since he’s cleary over his shoulder injury and ready to contribute.  Last night, Noah started for Pau and played 38 minutes finishing with six points, 16 rebounds, eight assists, and two steals for a solid 36.2 fantasy points. He probably won’t get that much playing time tonight, but he’s a solid mid-range option since he’ll probably end up with most of Taj Gibson’s playing time sliding Pau to the PF spot where he is more comfortable.

Nikola Jokic-Denver Nuggets(4,600): Jokic will get the start tonight against Miami since Jusuf Nurkic has been ruled out.  Jokic can produce solid points and rebounds when he gets playing time making him a high-risk, high-reward gamble tonight against Miami. ∗∗
