High Salary SG

Jimmy Butler-Chicago Bulls (8,900): Butler was nothing short of phenomenal last night scoring 53 points and adding ten boards, sis assists, and there steals for a massive 76 fantasy points. He has at least 38 fantasy points in each of his last eight games with three games with over 49 fantasy points. He and the Bulls play the second half of their back-t0-back at home tonight against Dallas.  Both Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol are expected to return and help lift the scoring load.  After all the energy he put out last night to single-handedly carry the team, I expect him to let his teammates do much of the heavy lifting tonight.  There’s no arguing with his current form, but I do see him slowing down a little tonight although he still deserves consideration.

Dwyane Wade-Miami Heat (7,200):  Wade’s role in Miami’s attack changes slightly with no Dragic alongside him in the backcourt.  He struggled a bit on Wedsneasy with seven turnovers but had 16 points, eight boards, and four assists to still manage 24.6 fantasy points. He had a much better ball-distributing night against the Warriors on Monday handing out 11 assists to go with 20 points and seven rebounds for 46.9 fantasy points. Tonight, he and the Heat are in Denver to take on the Nuggets who allow the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing SG. Given his added responsibilities, I like Wade to have a well-balanced stat line tonight as long as he can get his turnovers under control. ∗∗

Monta Ellis-Indiana Pacers (6,200): Ellis struggled against Avery Bradley and the Celtics on Wednesday shooting just 6-16 from the field and 0-5 from deep. He finished with just 16.2 fantasy points, but he’ll be looking to bounce back tonight at home in a good matchup against the Wizards. Before Wednesday’s woes, Ellis had 30 or more fantasy points in four of his five previous games and has been picking up a good number of assists in the Pacers up-tempo attack. He should be able to bounce back with a good game at home tonight.
