High Value SG

Kent Bazemore-Atlanta Hawks (5,700): Bazemore got off to a hot start on Wednesday, but he ended up only playing 25 minutes as the Hawks were completely blown out by the Hornets in Charlotte.  He finished with only 19.3 fantasy points on nine points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  He’s still an option to check out tonight, though, since the Bucks give up the fourth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SF (which is where Bazemore usually plays despite his FanDuel designation).  Bazemore has the ability to produce big and balanced stat lines, and he has been able to post at least 29 fantasy points in four of his last seven contests.

J.R. Smith-Cleveland Cavaliers (4,900): Smith has continued to contribute for the Cavs even with Kyrie Irving and Iman Shumpert back and playing regular minutes for Cleveland.  Smith has played at least 30 minutes in five of his last six games and has at least ten points in each of those six games.  He hasn’t added a ton of non-scoring stats, but he has at least 19 fantasy points in each of the six contest with three games over 29 fantasy points. Tonight, he’s in a good matchup to succeed since the Rockets allow the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing SG. There are rumors that LeBron could rest which would leave more of the offense for Smith, but it could also lead to a blowout. ∗∗

Avery Bradley-Boston Celtics (4,900): Bradley has come back off his hip injury and played 38, 38, and 41 minutes for Boston as he clearly monopolizes the time at SG in coach Brad Stevens’ rotation.  Bradley had his best fantasy output in those three games on Wednesday chipping in 11 points and six assists against the Pacers for a solid 24.6 fantasy points. Tonight, he should be able to get that many fantasy points again if he gets his usual workload against the Suns who allow the eight-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG and have allowed the fifth-most over their last five games.

Gerald Green-Miami Heat (4,200): Green has had a great four-game road trip for the Heat scoring at least 13 points in each game and playing at least 33 minutes in each contest.  He has 22 fantasy points or more in each game on the trip so far and should again get plenty of playing time tonight against the Nuggets. Denver’s defense against opposing SG isn’t great, as I mentioned back in D-Wade’s analysis, so look for Green to return good value once again tonight.
