High Salary PF

DeMarcus Cousins-Sacramento Kings (10,500): Boogie has been rolling lately with at least 48 fantasy points in each of his last seven games and three games over 63 fantasy points in his last six contests.  One of those monster nights came Thursday in Utah where he lit up the Jazz and Rudy Gobert for 36 points and 17 rebounds.  Tonight, he’ll be taking on the Clippers who should have DeAndre Jordan back from illness but still won’t be able to slow down Cousins. LA has allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing centers (where Boogie usually plays) this season, and Cousins had 32 points and 13 boards against them back in the season-opener at the end of October.

Paul Millsap-Atlanta Hawks (8,100): After Cousins the top of the power forward salary structure is a MASH unit, but Millsap is one of the few healthy bodies and has been producing some good games lately.  Last night against the Bucks, Millsap tore it up with 23 points, ten rebounds, six assists, and four blocks for a massive 57.5 fantasy points. He has at least 47 fantasy points in four of his last seven games and at least 40 in six of his last nine. Tonight, he and the Hawks will look to bounce back from a rough road trip as they return home against the Nets who have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PF over their last five games. ∗∗

Thaddeus Young-Brooklyn Nets (7,100): On the other side of that same matchup, Thaddeus Young makes a good play as well. He finished last night with 11 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals for 30.5 fantasy points. He is a nightly double-double threat, and I think Young should be set up for success as well since Atlanta has also been struggling to defend opposing PF (third-most fantasy points allowed to PF over their last five). Young averaged 15 points and ten boards with three steals and 1.5 assists in the Nets’ previous two meetings with Atlanta.

Zach Randolph-Memphis Grizzlies (6,500): Randolph moved into the starting lineup in place of a struggling Jeff Green on Thursday and finished with just 13 points, three rebounds, and three assists for 22.75 fantasy points. He has scored in double-digits now in nine of his last ten games and has at least 22 fantasy points in seven of those ten games, but owners are hoping for more if they invest in him tonight as he takes on the Knicks who could be without Kristaps Porzingis and forced to play backup options against Z-Bo.  He has the potential for a huge game, but he can also disappear at times as well. I think he’ll have a good game as he gets more run with the starters. ∗∗
