High Value SF

Harrison Barnes-Golden State Warriors (5,100): Barnes is just about back to his full minutes workload and has scored double-digit points in five of his last six games.  He added six rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block to his 12 points on Thursday for a very nice 28.2 fantasy points. He has over 27 fantasy points in each of his last two games, and he should continue to work back into the Golden State rotation tonight against the Pistons. He’s a very affordable option who will get plenty of time on the floor in a great offense.

Robert Covington-Philadelphia 76ers (4,600):  Covington has played over 30 minutes in each of the Sixers last two games and has made the most of his time on the floor.  On Thursday, he dropped 25 points on the Bulls to go with six rebounds and two steals on his way to 37.7 fantasy points. In the previous game against the Cavs, Covington had seven points, eight boards, and four assists for 20.6 fantasy points. With Jerami Grant and Nik Stauskas both doubtful tonight against Memphis, look for plenty of time for Covington again tonight against the Blazers. Covington is notoriously streaky, but when he gets his game going he can produce well above his pay grade.

Stanley Johnson-Detroit Pistons (3,900): If you have to go extra-cheap at SF, there are two options to check out. The first is Stanley Johnson who has at least 19 fantasy points in four of his last five games and is coming off of 19 points, three rebounds, and two steals against Memphis last Thursday. Detroit will likely have to go small against the Warriors which could result in extra time for the 19-year old who usually gets expanded minutes in blowouts as well.

Lance Thomas-New York Knicks (3,600): Thomas is the other cheap play to consider if he draws another start in place of Carmelo Anthony (questionable). Thomas has played at least 22 minutes in each of his last three games and has produced decent but not spectacular numbers. He’s a dice-roll, but worth a look if Anthony is out. If no ‘Melo-∗ In Melo plays-no stars.
