High Salary LW

Alex Ovechkin – Washington Capitals ($9,500): Ovechkin has 39 points in 42 games this season. He has three goals in two games against the Sabres. He goes against the Sabres today. He has 26 goals this season and is two goals behind Patrick Kane for the league lead. Don’t be surprised if he’s tied with Kane after tonight. He averages 5.3 fantasy hockey points per game.

Gabriel Landeskog – Colorado Avalanche ($6,500): Colorado’s captain has 32 points in 41 games this season. He has four points in his last five games. He goes against a Blue Jackets squad that has allowed the most goals in the league. Look for him to have a huge night tonight. He averages three fantasy hockey points per game.

Johnny Gaudreau – Calgary Flames ($8,700): Gaudreau has a three game point streak during which he has four points. He looks to add to that today against the Oilers. Gaudreau has 10 points in his last 10 games and 43 points in 42 games overall this season. He has four points in eight career games against the Oilers. He averages 3.9 fantasy points per game.

Taylor Hall – Edmonton Oilers ($7,700): Hall has 41 points in 45 games this season for the Oilers. However, he has been held pointless in each of his last five games. He has 38 shots on goal in his last ten games so he should break out soon. Maybe all he needs is a game against the Flames, who has 22 points against in 23 career games. Isn’t it convenient that’s who the Oilers play today? He averages 4.2 fantasy hockey points per game.

High Value LW

Kevin Fiala – Nashville Predators ($3,000): If you want to take a huge gamble, all the power to you. Go with Fiala. He scored a goal and had five shots in his first game of the season against the Winnipeg Jets. He averages five fantasy points per game.

Nail Yakupov – Edmonton Oilers ($3,900): Yakupov is averaging 2.4 fantasy hockey points per game. That’s pretty respectable. He got a goal in his first game back against the San Jose Sharks. He looks to his 13 points in 23 games today when he faces the Flames.

Patrik Berglund – St. Louis Blues ($3,900): Berglund has been great for the Blues in his first seven games back from injury. He has three goals and an assist. He goes against the struggling Canadiens today. Look for him to add to that total. He averages 2.4 fantasy points per game.
