DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy hockey lineup – January 17
High Salary G
Corey Crawford-Chicago Blackhawks ($8,200): It’s nothing new for Corey Crawford to be an attractive fantasy option at goalie and that’s the case tonight. He’ll go up against the Montreal Canadiens, a team he stopped 39 of 40 shots against in his last start on Thursday. Crawford has won his last seven starts and is a must-start right now anytime he gets the nod.
High Value G
Petr Mrazek-Detroit Red Wings ($7,500): Mrazek is the confirmed starter for Sunday’s tilt with Philadelphia. He’s been playing out of his mind lately with five straight wins and just seven goals allowed over that span. He’s lowered his GAA to 2.10 and has become a very reliable fantasy goalie. The Flyers present a very favorable matchup, making Mrazek the best option there is at goalie today.
Jaroslav Halak-New York Islanders ($7,500): Halak was sharp in a win over the Rangers on Thursday, stopping 34 of the 35 shots that he faced. It was the first win for the veteran netminder since he returned from injury on January 7. After two straight losses it was good to see Halak get back into the win column. He’s not confirmed yet, but if he gets the start tonight the he’ll make a decent fantasy target. The matchup with Vancouver is a favorable one, as the Canucks have had trouble getting the puck into the net. Take Halak as a solid sleeper pick.
