High Value PG

Donald Sloan-Brooklyn Nets (4,500): Sloan is the best option among the cheap guards once you cross the salary chasm that usually contains some solid midrange options.  He only scored four points on Saturday against Atlanta but still had a solid fantasy day due to his four rebounds and 12 assists for 25.5 fantasy points. He has at least that many fantasy points in three of his last five games.  Since moving to the starting lineup, Sloan is averaging 7.3 points, 7.3 assists, and 4.3 rebounds.  With Shane Larkin’s struggles, Sloan is the Nets clear best option at the point and he makes a solid cheap play for tonight  even against Toronto who allows the second-fewest fantasy points to opposing PG. ∗∗

Cory Joseph-Toronto Raptors (4,100): Joseph had 19 points in London and finished with a very solid 31.21 fantasy points against Orlando.  He has at least 15 fantasy points in each of his last four games and in six of his last seven.  If the Raptors do pull away from the Nets or try to go small-ball against them, look for Joseph to keep getting plenty of playing time off the bench for Toronto and offering a solid return on a minimal investment. ∗∗

Matthew Dellavedova-Cleveland Cavaliers (3,900): When the Cavs go small they like to include the scrappy defender Matthew Dellavedova who gave the Warriors some issues in the NBA Finals last year and also in their earlier meeting this season when he played 31 minutes and scored ten points to go with five rebounds, an assist, and a steal.  His playing time tonight isn’t 100% certain, though, since Kyrie is better now and Mo Williams may be available. Delly should find the court enough to be worth his affordable price, and you can definitely give him a look although I like Sloan’s upside much better. Dellavedova has played last least 20 minutes in each of his last seven games and has over 18 fantasy points in two of his last three games.
