High Value SG

Avery Bradley-Boston Celtics (5,500): Bradley and the Celtics face are in Dallas tonight taking on the Mavs.  In his five games since returning from a three-game layoff with a hip injury, Bradley has averaged 38 minutes while contributing 12.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.6 steals. He has at least 20 fantasy points in each of his last three games and has the potential to go off for much more in any given category depending on the night.  He’s a low-risk play in that he’s guaranteed plenty of time on the floor, and he should have an entertaining matchup to watch against Wesley Matthews of the Mavs tonight.

J.J. Redick-Los Angeles Clippers (5,400): Redick isn’t the multi-category producer that I usually try to target in my wing spots, but he has been producing solid scoring numbers lately with at least 16 points in five of his last eight games resulting in at least 20 fantasy points in six of those last eight contests.  Tonight, he’ll be in a good matchup against the Rockets who allow the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing SG and who he averaged 19 points, two rebounds, 1.5 assists, and a steal against in the two meetings between these teams earlier this season. ∗∗

Jamal Crawford-Los Angeles Clippers (4,500): Much like his teammate J.J. Redick, Crawford can be one-dimensional in his fantasy production giving little in non-scoring categories.  However, he has scored at least 15 points in four straight games and has been over 20 fantasy points in each of those four contests and in six of his last nine.  He played 31 minutes against the Kings and scored 20 points although he didn’t manage an assist on his way to 26 fantasy points. He’ll look to exploit the Rockets weakness against opposing wings, and he’s a very affordable option to consider based on his recent run of scoring off the bench.

Wayne Ellington-Brooklyn Nets (3,600): If you decide you don’t like any of the SG options or need to punt the position for some other reason, the best cheap play on the board is the Nets’ Wayne Ellington. Ellington has played at least 25 minutes in each of his last four games scoring at least eight points and adding decent peripherals to finish with more than 14 fantasy points but less than 19 fantasy points. He isn’t a sure bet to do much, but he will at least give you something if you decide to go extra-cheapat SG.
