High Value SF

Harrison Barnes-Golden State Warriors (5,400): Barnes was back in the lineup for Golden State on Saturday for the first time since returning from his ankle injury, but he struggled mightily with his shot hitting just 2-11 from the field and finishing with just five points and 12.25 fantasy points in his 30 minutes.  He had been better than that in his last three games with at least 22 fantasy points in each of those contests, and I think he’ll return to that level of production tonight against LeBron and the Cavs. He’s a very affordable play at just over 5K and he should rediscover his rhythm with the starting unit soon.  The only risk is that he gets replaced by Andre Iguodala since AI does usually thrive against the Cavs although Iguodala has been struggling too much (0 points in his last two games) to be a consideration himself.

Paul Pierce-Los Angeles Clippers (4,000): Pierce is a high-risk, high-reward play tonight agains the Rockets.  Houston has been vulnerable to both forward positions this season, and Pierce has been playing both SF and PF for coach Doc Rivers with Blake Griffin sidelined.  Pierce had 15 points and nine rebounds for 27.75 fantasy points against Miami on Wednesday, but only seven points and three assists for 14.25 fantasy points on Saturday against the Kings.  The last two times the Clippers played Houston, Pierce has been a non-factor, but he’s still the best play at this price tonight given his upside and the limited options around him.
