High Salary C

Dwight Howard-Houston Rockets (8,200): Howard gave it a go last night against his former team after being a gametime decision with an oblique issue.  He played well and posted his ninth straight double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds.  He has at least 31 fantasy points in each of those nine games and has been able to reach 40 fantasy points in four of those contests.  Tonight, he could end up facing the Clippers without DeAndre Jordan (questionable, pneumonia), but regardless of DJ’s status he’s a good option as long as he didn’t suffer any physical setbacks last night.  Check back after shootaround, but if he’s planning on playing he’s the best center money can buy you tonight.

Jonas Valanciunas-Toronto Raptors (6,100): Valanciunas has returned to his full share of minutes after missing time with a broken hand earlier this season.  He has played at least 29 minutes in each of the Raptors last four games and has 33 fantasy points or more in three of those contests.  He had 22 points and 11 rebounds a week and a half ago against the Nets, and he should be able to attack them again tonight for a big game since Brooklyn allows more fantasy points to opposing centers than any other team in the NBA. Valanciunas is still a little under-priced, and as long as he’s back in the right time zone after a quick London trip he should be a great play tonight. ∗∗
