OL. Notre Dame. Ronnie Stanley. 5. player. 52.
The Jaguars finally have some momentum. Jacksonville has a nice pair of pieces on offense, led by quarterback Blake Bortles and wide receiver Allen Robinson, who was the most glaring omission of the Pro Bowl. However, Bortles still is under all kinds of pressure just about every other dropback because of a horrific offensive line. While the franchise is not ready to admit defeat with former second-overall pick Luke Joeckel, the other tackle spot needs to be upgraded with Jermey Parnell being mediocre.

At some juncture, Jacksonville must start building up this unit. The offensive line has been nothing short of terrible for years, and it has hindered the development of both Blaine Gabbert and even Bortles to a lesser extent. Bortles gives off the vibe that he could be similar to Ben Roethlisberger if given some time to stand in the pocket and scan the field, but there has to be a pocket first.

If Ronnie Stanley is on the board, he has to be the pick here. This really is one of the easiest choices of the entire mock draft, especially for a team trying to go from afterthought to contender in the middling AFC South.
