High Salary C

Tyler Seguin-Dallas Stars ($8,500): Seguin went two games without picking up a point but got back on the scoresheet Saturday with a goal and an assist at San Jose. He’s up to 53 points on the year with 25 goals and 28 assists. He’s been one of the best centers in fantasy hockey with an average of five fantasy points a game and is almost always worth his high price. A game with LA will be tough tonight, but Seguin is a good target if you are looking to spend high for a center.

Steven Stamkos-Tampa Bay Lightning ($7,500): Stamkos was shut out on Sunday but still has seven points in his last seven games. He’s scored 20 goals and added 15 assists this season and has an average of 3.6 fantasy points a game. He’s priced $1,000 less than Seguin, but can still provide some good production from the center position. A good matchup with Edmonton awaits Stamkos tonight.

Evgeny Kuznetsov-Washington Capitals ($6,400): Kuznetsov has been a gem for the Capitals this season, as he is in the middle of a fantastic breakout season. He notched three assists in Sunday’s win over the Rangers and is now up to 44 total points for the season. Kuznetsov is can no longer be considered a value pick thanks to his salary continuing to rise with his production and his high ownership number. Still, his price tag is much lower than some of other high-priced centers and he gets a great matchup in Columbus tonight. Kuznetsov is on fire with seven points over the four games and needs to be considered a top center target for fantasy hockey.

High Value C

Derek Stepan-New York Rangers ($5,000): Stepan struggled when he first returned from injury with just two points through 12 games. However, he’s started to heat up with an assist in each of his last two games. He gets a favorable matchup with Vancouver tonight, so insert him into your lineup and hope that he keeps rolling.

Brandon Dubinsky-Columbus Blue Jackets ($4,300): Dubinsky has put up some solid numbers in Columbus this year with nine goals and 15 assists. He’s been playing well lately and is currently riding a two-game goal streak with eight points over the last eight games. He gets a tough matchup with the Capitals tonight, but a hot streak and a low price makes Dubinsky one to target at center.

Valtteri Filppula-Tampa Bay Lightning ($3,800): Filppula has been on a tear lately with five points in his last four games. He had a monster game against Pittsburgh on Friday night with a goal and two assists. He notched an assist versus Florida on Sunday and now has a two-game point streak. He’s averaging just two fantasy points a game for the season but has earned his owners over four points a game in the last four games. Take Filppula at a great price tonight.
