DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy hockey lineup- January 19
High Salary D
Mark Giordano-Calgary Flames ($6,400): Giordano saw his six-game point streak come to an end on Saturday but he’s been very impressive lately with 14 points over the last 12 games. Tonight’s matchup with New Jersey will be very tough for Giordano because the Devils are ranked 1st in points allowed to opposing defensemen. Still, he’s been hot and is a proven fantasy producer. Take Giordano as one of your top defensemen tonight.
P.K. Subban-Montreal Canadiens ($6,200): Subban dished out a helper on Sunday and extended his point streak to five games. He has put up eight points over the last nine games and has finally heated up after a slow start to the season. Subban has been great for fantasy owners over his hot stretch, recording at least four fantasy points in six of eight games. Boston has struggled to stop opposing defensemen this year, setting up Subban as a good target for your lineup tonight.
High Value D
Anton Stralman-Tampa Bay Lightning ($5,000): Stralman has been a solider producer in fantasy hockey this year, particularly since mid-December. He’s averaging 2.5 fantasy points a game and has surpassed three fantasy points in three of the last four games. He’s working on a two-game point and has nine points over the last nine games. Take Stralman has a priority value pick at defenseman tonight, as he’ll face the Oilers who are ranked 25th against defensemen.
Dmitry Orlov-Washington Capitals ($3,400): Like most of Washington’s team, Orlov has been playing some great hockey as of late. He picked up an assist on Sunday and now has three points in his last four games. With John Carlson out with an injury, Orlov has stepped up his game and taken advantage of some extra opportunities. He makes for a good sleeper pick against Columbus tonight.
