Seven reasons to get ready for Season 3 of The 100

After nearly a year—10 months, to be exact—of waiting for Season 3 of The 100, it’s finally here! Well, almost. Season 3 of The 100 premieres this Thursday, January 21 at 9 p.m. on The CW. The Season 2 finale left us with tons of cliffhangers. Let’s dig into what to get hyped about:

  1. Where the hell did Clarke go off to? Last we saw her, she gave a heartfelt goodbye to Bellamy about how she wasn’t ready to go into Camp Jaha. Given that she just made the decision to kill 350 residents inside Mount Weather, I’d say that’s pretty understandable. Now, is Clarke just wanting some time to herself, or maybe she’s off to find Lexa and get some much-needed answers?
  2. Speaking of Lexa, we know Alycia Debnam-Carey will return for Season 3, but waiting to find out exactly when our favorite Commander will be back is going to brutal. Given that Lexa’s betrayal hit Clarke hard, will Clarke be out for blood if and when she finds her? Will their inevitable reunion be one filled with anger, or will they come to an understanding? Either way, the Clexa angst is going to be off the charts.
  3. The aftermath of Mount Weather. We’ll see how Bellamy and the remaining 48 will be handling everything, especially with Clarke being M.I.A. Clarke kinda left Bellamy with a lot on his shoulders when she u-turned on Camp Jaha at the end of Season 2. Will he be holding any grudges? Also, how is Jasper holding up after losing Maya because of Clarke and Bellamy’s decision?
  4. No more torture for Raven! Seriously, this girl has been through everything. I’m hoping we get to see Raven really deal with the loss of Finn and have more bonding moments. Can we get back to the kickass threesome of Clarke/Raven/Octavia instead of endless Raven torture?
  5. NEW LOCATIONS! NEW LEADERS! Season 2 gave us Camp Jaha, Mount Weather, and Tondc. I’m sure with the new season we can expect to see even more awesome locations, like the mysterious Ice Nation and Polis. Plus, with new locations comes new badass leaders. That in itself is something to get excited for.
  6. A explanation about A.L.I.E and why she’s been waiting on Jaha. Hopefully we dive more into the mysteries behind the City of Light, which Jaha and Murphy were looking into during Season 2.
  7. We learned that Richard Harmon has been promoted to a series regular, which means MORE MURPHY! Murphy has gone from being the most hated character on the series to a new fan favorite. Don’t deny it: you too went from loving to hate him to hating to love him. Last we saw Murphy, he was having himself a much needed drink and finding a disturbing video about how “she” got the launch codes. Um, what the hell? Can we also find out what crime Murphy got arrested for? It’s not exactly important to the plot, but as a fan of Murphy it’s information I need.

Those are my seven reasons to get hyped for the new season of The 100. What are you most excited about? Are you into Clexa or more of a Bellarke type? When did you start loving Murphy? We can all agree on one thing, though: protect Raven at all cost, right?
