High Salary SG

Jimmy Butler-Chicago Bulls (8,400): Butler and the Bulls will take on the challenge of hosting the Warriors tonight in Chicago after giving Golden State a good game when the two teams met earlier this season in Oakland. Derrick Rose didn’t play in that game leaving Butler to carry the load with 28 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, and three steals against the Warriors in 39 minutes. Butler has been relatively quiet since his 53-point explosion against the Sixers on Thursday of last week, but I think he’ll rise to the challenge tonight and play a ton of very involved minutes as he tries to keep his team close to Golden State.

C.J. McCollum-Portland Trail Blazers (7,200): Most of the options that I really like tonight at SG are below 6K, but if you need someone in the upper mid-range, McCollum is the option that I like the most even though I think he may be a touch over-priced.  McCollum has at least 30 fantasy points in four of his last five games and has over 22 points in two of those contests.  He can contribute assists and steals at a nice pace and makes sense against the Hawks tonight.  If he was under 7K, he’d be a steal, but since he is a little pricey that makes him a higher risk than I’d like.

Louis Williams-Los Angeles Lakers (6,400): Williams continues to score points for the Lakers, but his non-scoring numbers have vanished over his last few games causing his fantasy production (and his price) to dip.  He has at least 18 points in nine of his last ten games, but he has been held under 30 fantasy points in each of his last three games due to an empty stat line in other categories.  Tonight, I think he’ll be able to fill it in a bit more against the Kings who allow the third-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG. He’s lower risk than the options under 6K, but some of them have more stat-stuffing potential.
