DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy hockey lineup- January 20
High Salary C
Pavel Datsyuk-Detroit Red Wings ($5,900): Datsyuk is normally priced well below some of his fellow wingers, but due to a lack of options tonight, he’s one of the highest. Datsyuk has been playing great lately and currently has a three-game point streak going. He’s got 15 points in his last 15 games and has raised his average of fantasy points a game to 3.1. St. Louis doesn’t present the best matchup tonight, but with few to choose from, Datsyuk should be considered a top center.
Ryan Getzlaf-Anaheim Ducks ($5,600): Getzlaf also carries a lower price than usually seen from high salary options. That, coupled with his recent production, makes him a top target at center tonight. He’s on a five-game point streak and has six points over the last nine games. Getzlaf has a tough matchup with Minnesota tonight, the third-ranked team against centers, but the veteran is rolling right now and needs to be in fantasy lineups.
High Value C
Carl Soderberg-Colorado Avalanche ($4,800): Soderberg picked up a goal and an assist on Monday night and now has six points over the last six games. He’s up to 32 points on the season and is putting together a solid season in Colorado that is on pace to surpass his career high of 56 points. As far as fantasy points go, Soderberg is averaging three a game and gets a decent matchup with Buffalo tonight.
Paul Stastny-St. Louis Blues ($4,900): Stastny kept up his hot streak with a goal and three assists against Pittsburgh on Monday night. He has five points over the last two games, including a two-game goal streak. Tonight’s matchup in Detroit looks difficult on paper, as the Red Wings are ranked second in points allowed to opposing centers. Still, Stastny deserves a spot on fantasy rosters.
Jori Lehtera-St. Louis Blues ($3,700): On a night where the pickings are slim it is important to find some hidden value. Jori Lehtera had some lofty projections in the fantasy world at the start of the season, but he has yet to reach those expectations. However, he’s finally started to heat up with five points in his last five games. He was kept off the scoresheet on Monday but will look to get back on track tonight against Detroit. Lehtera has been playing well and has a low salary, that’s enough to take a chance on him tonight.
