High Salary G

Jonathan Quick-LA Kings ($8,500): Quick is easily one of the top goalies in the NHL, He’s been playing great lately, winning nine of his last 11 starts. He’s posted a strong 2.10 GAA this season and always makes for a top selection in net. Tonight he will face off with Minnesota and will have a great chance to keep up is solid play. The Wild are ranked 20th in the NHL with 2.5 goals per game, making Quick a must start tonight.

Corey Crawford-Chicago Blackhawks ($8,400): Chicago is currently the hottest team in the league, and Corey Crawford has been right there in the middle of it all. He, like Jonathan Quick, is one of the top goalies in the NHL. Crawford has won his last nine starts and hasn’t taken a loss in net since Dec. 27. Tonight’s opponent, Tampa Bay, could be tough, but Crawford has been playing out of his mind lately and makes for a great pick.

High Value G

Kari Ramo-Calgary Flames ($7,300): Ramo sat out for three games after really struggling in his last start on January 11, a game in which he gave up five goals on 18 shots against San Jose. However, he was playing strong before that. He’s been confirmed as the starter tonight against a Columbus team that has struggled to score goals for much of the season. Ramo’s ownership should be low, increasing his value as a pick in goal tonight.

Antti Niemi-Dallas Stars ($7,100): Niemi has been in a timeshare with Kari Lehtonen this year and neither goalie has really been able to get into a rhythm. With Lehtonen taking the loss on Tuesday night, it seems likely that Niemi will get the nod tonight. He has posted a record of 16-8-5 this season and has yet to win since the calendar turned to January. However, Edmonton has been a favorable matchup for most goalies this season, making Niemi a sleeper worth targeting at goalie tonight.
