High Salary SG

Will Barton-Denver Nuggets (6,400): As stacked as the top end of the PG pool is tonight, the SG salary structure is extremely thin at the top.  Barton is the only option over 6K, so for today, I’ll include all options over 5,000 on my high salary slide.  Barton only played 19 minutes against the Thunder who forced Denver to play big instead of deploying Barton as a small-ball weapon.  The way the Grizzlies have been going small lately, floor time shouldn’t be a problem for Barton tonight.  He has two games with at least 30 fantasy points in his last four and can definitely fill it up when he’s on his game.  He’s slowed from his frenetic pace around the turn of the New Year, but he’s still an option to consider if you can afford him.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope-Detroit Pistons (5,900): The Pistons got a nice win in Houston despite James Harden’s heroics, and KCP finished with a solid 22 points to go with three steals, two assists, and two rebounds to finish with 33.4 fantasy points. He has at least that many in three of his last five games, and as long as fatigue isn’t much of a factor tonight he should be able to continue his roll against the Pelicans who allow the fifth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG.

Kent Bazemore-Atlanta Hawks (5,000): Bazemore had a nice night last night in Portland finishing with 23 points, five assist, and five rebounds for a solid 33.5 fantasy points. He needed a bounceback game after finishing with just 3.6 fantasy points on Monday against the Magic.  Bazemore is still very involved in the Atlanta attack, and I like him at this price tonight against the Kings who allow the third-most fantasy points to opposing SG so far this season.
