High Salary C

Pau Gasol-Chicago Bulls (8,400): Gasol started the week huge with 31 points and twelve rebounds against the Pistons for a total of 60.5 fantasy points on Monday, but he struggled against the Warriors with just one point and eight rebounds in 24 minutes in Golden State’s rout of the Bulls.  Golden State takes opposing bigs totally out of the game with their style, so Gasol should be able to bounce back tonight against Boston who he has tortured in the past and has allowed Gasol to average 16.5 points, 16.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.5 blocks in their two previous meetings. ∗∗∗

Greg Monroe-Milwaukee Bucks (7,000): Monroe won’t have to deal with Dwight Howard tonight as he goes for his seventh straight double-double. He has at least 38 fantasy points in five of his last six, and he should be able to take advantage of a thin front line in Houston tonight.  Monroe not only has double-digit rebounds in nine of his last ten games, but he has scored at least 15 points in each of his last six games. ∗∗

Nikola Vucevic-Orlando Magic (7,500): Vucevic won’t have to deal with Al Jefferson or Cody Zeller as the Hornets visit tonight, and he should have a pretty clear path to his fourth-straight double-double.  He has at least 35 fantasy points in four of his last five games, and he had 36.75 fantasy points against the Sixers on Wednesday when I was hoping for a huge night. The Charlotte front line should give him a good chance to go off tonight.

Rudy Gobert-Utah Jazz (6,400): If you thought Gobert wasn’t quite up to speed yet, check out his 18-18 and 14-14 stat lines from Saturday and Monday.  He is back to his potential of 40+ fantasy points per night even though he doesn’t score a ton of points.  Tonight, he is taking on the team that has allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing centers this season, so look for him to have another good game against Brook Lopez and the Nets. ∗∗∗

Jonas Valanciunas-Toronto Raptors (6,200): Big V will take on the injury-depleted Miami Heat front line that won’t have Hassan Whiteside or Chris Andersen tonight.  Valanciunas had 19 points and 12 rebounds on his way to 38.5 fantasy points on Wednesday against Boston. He has at least 34 fantasy points in three of his last four games and four of his last six making him a nice pickup in a good matchup at home tonight.
