Derrick Rose-Chicago Bulls (5,800): While he still has some stinkers from time-to-time, Derrick Rose has looked good in his last three games scoring 29, 20, and 18 points since sitting out the big Jimmy Butler game in Phily.  Rose has at least 26 fantasy points in five of his last six games not cut short by injury including a 30.25-fantasy-point performance against the Celtics who he’ll face again tonight in Boston.  It’s not quite as bad a matchup as it initially seems since Boston will have to leave Avery Bradley on Jimmy Butler and match up the undersized Isaiah Thomas on Rose, but it’s not an easy matchup either.  Look for a solid game from Rose as he tries to get his team a nice road win in Boston. ∗∗∗

Donald Sloan-Brooklyn Nets (5,000): Sloan has been a very serviceable point guard for the Nets since passing Shane Larkin and grabbing most of the workload left behind in the wake of Jarrett Jack’s injury. Sloan has at least 25 fantasy points in four straight games and has two games over 30 fantasy points which is very nice return at his 5K price point.  He fell just one assist short of a double-double in only 25 minutes against Cleveland on Wednesday, and he’ll look to continue his success tonight as he and the Nets host Utah.  The Jazz usually defend the point pretty well, but Sloan is a solid enough value to go with as a money-saving option in almost any matchup. ∗∗∗∗

Ty Lawson-Houston Rockets (4,200): Lawson had a nice spot start on Wednesday for the Rockets finishing with 18 points, five rebounds, and three assists for a solid 27.25 fantasy points.  He could again be inserted into he lineup if Patrick Beverley needs another game to rest his sprained ankle.  If he starts, Lawson is worth a look, but if Beverley is back he’s too high-risk. Cameron Payne-Oklahoma City Thunder (3,700): If Lawson is too risky or Beverley returns, an alternative option is the Thunder’s Cameron Payne who has played over 20 minutes in four of OKC’s last five games.  He has at least 17 fantasy points in each of those four contests with three games over 20 fantasy points and one with 34 fantasy points. He picks up garbage time behind Russell Westbrook, but he also has been on the floor alongside Westbrook as well as coach Billy Donovan continues to experiment with his rotation.  I like what Payne brings to the table, and when he gets minutes he can definitely contribute. ∗∗∗

Ray McCallum-San Antonio Spurs (3,000): Getting the starting point guard on the Spurs (one of the best teams in the league) when they’re taking on the Lakers (the worst team at defending opposing PG) at just 3,000 is the definition of a great buy.  Last night, McCallum started in place of Tony Parker and finished with 11 points, four rebounds, and three assists against the Suns for a total of 21 fantasy points. He has at least 20 fantasy points in each of his last two games for San Anontio although the two contests were separated by two weeks. If Tony Parker is out again tonight against LA, McCallum is the ultimate cheap option who can bring solid production even though he will be sharing PG responsibilities with Patty Mills and Kyle Anderson. ∗∗∗∗∗
