High Salary SG

James Harden-Houston Rockets (10,000): Yes James, we see you…. After a few weeks of quiet games, Harden exploded back onto the fantasy stardom scene with 33 points, 17 rebounds, and 14 assists on his way to 80.25 fantasy points on Wednesday against Detroit in a game the Rockets ultimately lost.  Tonight, he’ll take on the Bucks looking to keep his crazy production going.  He is always capable of going off, but he is expensive and I actually like the three star PG I listed at over 9K better than Harden in tonight’s matchup.

DeMar DeRozan-Toronto Raptors (8,000): DeRozan and the Raptors catch Miami at a good time tonight since Goran Dragic, Beno Udrih, Dwyane Wade, and Gerald Green all questionable and Hasan Whitside and Chris Andersen already ruled out.  DeRozan let up Boston on Wednesday for 34 points to go with six assists and a pair of rebounds for his second straight game with exactly 46.5 fantasy points. He has been thriving at home and will look to keep things rolling tonight against Miami.  In their two previous meetings when the Heat were healthier, DeRozan still managed an average of 23 points, 3.5 assists, and 2.5 rebounds. I wish he was a little cheaper, but he’s a solid play with some good upside tonight.

Khris Middleton-Milwaukee Bucks (7,000): Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo play the SG/SF spots interchangeably, and are both great matchups against Houston.  Middleton has at least 30 fantasy points in five straight games and in seven of his last eight.  He has scored at least 20 points in seven of his last eight games as well, and he should form a nice dynamic duo with the Greek Freak against the Rockets tonight.

Monta Ellis-Indiana Pacers (6,800): Ellis returns to Golden State tonight where he played his first seven years in the NBA before brief sojourns in Milwaukee and Dallas.  Ellis will again be asked to pick up some more offensive responsibility with George Hill away from the team.  In his last ten games,  Ellis is averaging 15.8 points, 6.3 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.6 steals, and he’ll look to help his new team hand his old team their first home loss of the season.  Indiana will have to shoot the lights out to keep up with Golden State, but Ellis should get plenty of shots to see if he can score 20+ points for the third straight game.  ∗∗

Rodney Hood-Utah Jazz (6,000): Hood had a huge game against the Knicks on Wednesday scoring 29 points in 42 minutes and adding six boards and five assists for an impressive 46.5 fantasy points. He looked like he was on the verge of a breakout before an injury sidelined him a bit, but he is definitely back to full strength now and playing huge minutes for Utah (39 and 42 in his last two games).  Tonight, Hood is in a great matchup against the Nets who allow the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG, so play Hood with confidence as a midrange option tonight.
