High Salary SF

Carmelo Anthony-New York Knicks (8,300): While Kevin Durant is always a good option, I think tonight is a Westbrook game for OKC.  Instead, I’d save my $$ and look at Melo instead.  Late last week, Anthony missed two games with a shoulder injury, but he has returned to play 49 and 42 minutes in his last two games so is clearly feeling just fine now.  He had a huge 51.25-fantasy-point game against the Jazz on Wednesday in his most recent contest finishing with 30 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds.  He has at least 39 fantasy points in each of his last six games not cut short by injury, and he should be ready to roll tonight against the Clippers. ∗∗

Gordon Hayward-Utah Jazz (7,500): Hayward’s price is on the rise, but that’s as a result of his improving play over the last few weeks and his role as the focal point of the Jazz attack.  Hayward has at least 30 fantasy points in seven straight games and had 62.75 fantasy points in Charlotte followed by 41.25 fantasy points against the Knicks on Wednesday.  He is in a good matchup against the Nets tonight, and he should be able to keep things going.  I liked him better when he was cheaper, but he’s still a solid play. ∗∗

Giannis Antetokounmpo-Milwaukee Bucks (7,200): The Bucks SG/SF will be in good matchups against the Rockets tonight who allow the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing SG and the third-most fantasy points to opposing SF. “The Alphabet” should be able to take advantage of Houston’s lack of defensive interest, and he’s been pouring it on lately.  He has at least 38 fantasy points in four of his last five, and had four straight double-doubles before a slight downer on Tuesday in Miami.  It was at the end of a very busy stretch for Milwaukee, so hopefully a few days off has him rested and ready to roll against the Rockets tonight.

Jae Crowder-Boston Celtics (6,400): Another one of my favorite plays whose price has risen lately is Jae Crowder of the Celtics who is really having a breakout year for Boston.  Crowder has at least 17 points in five of his last six games and almost always fills in solid peripherals to get to 30 fantasy points. He has at least 31 fantasy points in five of his last eight games, and he had 36.5 fantasy points when the Celtics faced the Bulls two weeks ago on 17 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Look for him to be around that production level again tonight.

Tobias Harris-Orlando Magic (6,300): Harris had his second double-double in his last three games on Wednesday with 15 points and ten boards against the 76ers for a total of 36 fantasy points. He has at least 36 fantasy points in three of his last five games despite not shooting the ball especially well.  He’s definitely locked in to a solid amount of playing time in coach Scott Skiles’ rotation and can fill up the stat sheet on most night.  Tonight against Charlotte should be another opportunity for him to do just that especially since Nicolas Batum was already ruled out for tonight. ∗∗
