High Salary W

Patrick Kane-Chicago Blackhawks ($9,100): Kane just continues to put up points and remains the best fantasy target at winger. He had a slower night last night with just one shot on goal but did pick up an assist, giving him a four-game point streak with 22 points in his last 13 games. Kane is a can’t-miss on almost every night and although his price tag makes it tough to afford much else, he needs to have a spot in fantasy lineups. He’ll be counted on heavily tonight in a tough game at Florida.

Vladimir Tarasenko-St. Louis Blues ($7,800): Tarasenko was kept off the score sheet on Wednesday night but he’s got 46 points through 48 games and has been a solid producer this season. In terms of fantasy, he’s one of the best wingers available and has an average of 4.4 fantasy points a game. With a great matchup against Colorado working in his favor, Tarasenko is a great pick for your lineup.

Alexander Ovechkin-Washington Capitals ($8,800): Drafting Ovechkin gets a lot of your cap space, but he’s proven time and again to be worth it. He currently has a two-game goal streak and three points in the last two games. Ovechkin is an elite fantasy player and needs to be in lineups on a nightly basis, especially when he’s in front of the loud Verizon Center crowd, as he will be tonight. He is second among available wingers tonight with an average of 5.2 fantasy points per game. Take Ovechkin and enjoy the fantasy points you’ll likely get out of him.

High Value W

Justin Williams-Washington Capitals ($5,200): Williams has seen a big jump in his fantasy salary and he is no longer a sleeper pick. His recent hot stretch has made him a bona fide fantasy starter. He’s had two big games in a row with three goals on January 17 and two assists on January 19. He is averaging 3.4 fantasy points a game and is a must-start at this point in time.

Jarome Iginla-Colorado Avalanche ($4,600): Iginla didn’t show up on the scoresheet Wednesday and didn’t even pick up any fantasy points. Still, he’s turned back the clock a bit this season and has been playing extremely well with 13 goals and 12 assists. He’s averaging nearly three fantasy points a game and has proven to be a decent fantasy pick on most nights. Despite the poor showing in his last outing, Iginla has two points in his last three games and is once again a good target at winger tonight.

David Perron-Anaheim Ducks ($4,100): The Ducks made a trade for Perron at the end of last week and it’s paid off in a big way so far. After really struggling in Pittsburgh, Perron has fit in nicely with his new surroundings. He scored a goal in his first game with the new club and added an assist in his second. There’s no guarantee that Perron will all of a sudden turn into a great fantasy option, but he’s worth taking a chance on while he seems to have things flowing. Washington presents a tough matchup tonight but if you are looking for a nice sleeper pick then Perron is your guy.
