High Salary G

Braden Holtby-Washington Capitals ($8,600): Holtby is an elite fantasy goalie and also gets the benefit of playing on an extremely talented team. Even on nights where he’s a bit off, the Capitals usually score enough goals to bail him out. In Tuesday’s game in Columbus he allowed three goals but still escaped with a victory. Tonight he’ll get a home game versus the lowest-scoring team in the NHL. Holtby and the Caps are on fire, be sure to take full advantage.

Henrik Lundqvist ($7,900): Lundqvist continues to be one of the best goalie in fantasy hockey but has ben overlooked at time this year. Despite posting numbers that are a bit higher than his norm this season, he has still managed 21 wins. He’s got three wins in the last four games and will look to keep it rolling tonight in a great matchup with Carolina. The Hurricanes are ranked 26th in the league with an average of 2.4 goals per game. There’s not much of an argument against selecting Lundqvist tonight.

High Value G

Petr Mrazek-Detroit Red Wings ($7,600): Mrazek has been inconsistent this season but has still managed a record of 16-9-4. He has taken a loss in each of his last two starts but will get a nice chance to rebound tonight against Buffalo. The Sabres have had problems getting the puck into the net this season and are averaging just 2.3 goals a game. He’s got a good price tag compared to some of the other options tonight and will be a solid choice for your lineup.

Jaroslav Halak-New York Islanders ($7,500): Halak has really struggled since returning from a layoff due to injury. He’s record just one win in four starts but has looked much better in the last two games. he was sharp in a win over the Rangers on January 14 and was equally as sharp, stopping 25 of 26 shots in Sunday’s loss to Vancouver. Ottawa has been able to score at a good clip, but Halak should still make for a good target. His price is decent for a value goalie and a low ownership number is possible, making him even more valuable.
