High Salary PF

Pau Gasol-Chicago Bulls (8,500): Gasol started the week huge with 31 points and twelve rebounds against the Pistons for a total of 57.9 fantasy points on Monday, but he struggled against the Warriors with just one point and eight rebounds in 24 minutes in Golden State’s rout of the Bulls.  Golden State takes opposing bigs totally out of the game with their style, so Gasol should be able to bounce back tonight against Boston who allows the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing PF and has allowed Gasol to average 16.5 points, 16.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.5 blocks in their two previous meetings. ∗∗∗

Chris Bosh-Miami Heat (7,600): Bosh will have to carry the load against his former team and may have flashbacks to his time in Toronto since he could end up surrounded by subs as he was for much of his time with the Raps.  He has at least 25 fantasy points in each of his last ten games and has the potential for much more if he carries the offense tonight.  There’s a chance we’re in for a vintage revenge game, but he does carry some risk too since Miami may struggle to keep this one close and Bosh sometimes struggles without guards to get him the ball in the right spots.

Kristaps Porzingis-New York Knicks (7,100): The Clippers are still without Blake Griffin as they come to MSG to take on Porzingis and the Knicks.  Porzingis was able to play Wednesday even after leaving Monday’s game with a foot soreness.  He has posted at least 30 fantasy points in seven of his last nine games with over 40 fantasy points in three of those contests.  He has scored at least 15 points in six of his last seven and usually adds good rebound and blocks numbers as well.  He’s a very nice play at just over 7K since he seems to have settled into a very nice rhythm and I don’t think the Clippers have anyone who can defend the versatile 7’3″ PF. ∗∗

Serge Ibaka-Oklahoma City Thunder (6,000): Ibaka has at least 21 fantasy points in each of his last six games including a very nice 34.2 fantasy points against the Mavericks last Wednesday when the Thunder last faced their opponent for tonight. Ibaka had 20 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks in that contest although his role in the offense was partly due to Russell Westbrook’s absence after he was ejected.  Ibaka should be close to a double-double again tonight with some blocks so he’s a decent option at 6K.
