High Value SG

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope-Detroit Pistons (5,800): KCP has scored at least 20 points in three of his last four games and six of his last nine.  He is playing massive minute for Detroit’s Stan Van Gundy logging at least 37 minutes in three of his last four games.  Tonight, he and the Pistons take on the Nuggets who have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing SG, so Caldwell-Pope is a good play again tonight even though his non-scoring stats come and go sometimes.

Devin Booker-Phoenix Suns (5,000): On the other side of the Suns-Hawks matchup, 19-year-old Devin Booker is playing massive minutes for Phoenix and is one of their best scoring options with so many injuries mounting.  Booker had 24 points and five assists on Thursday against the Spurs while playing over 40 minutes for the second game in a row.  He had 31 and 31.7 fantasy points in those two contests, and he’ll try to keep carrying the Suns especially if Brandon Knight isn’t able to return to the backcourt next to Booker for tonight’s game against Atlanta.  Without Knight-∗ With Knight-

Archie Goodwin-Phoenix Suns (3,800): While he hasn’t officially been ruled out, it doesn’t look good for Brandon Knight to play tonight for the Suns.  In his place, Archie Goodwin played 39 minutes on Thursday against the Spurs and finished with 20 points, three rebounds, two assists, a block, and a steal for a total of 29.75 fantasy points. He has over 20 fantasy points in each of the last two games he has filled in a starting role, and if he gets that chance tonight he’ll be a good cheap play once again. If starting-∗ If Knight plays-

Joe Young-Indiana Pacers (3,600): Young had his third straight good game last night finishing with 30.6 fantasy points against the Warriors on 16 points and eight assists.  He got extra playing time due to Monta Ellis’s foul trouble and George Hill’s absence.  With Hill likely returning tonight, Young’s playing time could quickly evaporate, but three straight games of over 25 fantasy points at under 4K makes him an interesting flier even with his playing time in question.  Rodney Stuckey is still out, so at the least Young should get some back up minutes until he returns.
