DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy hockey lineup- January 23
High Salary D
P.K. Subban-Montreal Canadiens ($6,200): After struggling for much of the season Subban has started to break out in a big way. He’s currently working on a six-game win streak and has nine points over the last 10 games. The Canadiens have a big game tonight with rival Toronto. The Maple Leafs are ranked 30th versus opposing defensemen, meaning Subban has a great chance to keep his streak rolling.
Roman Josi-Nashville Predators ($7,100): Josi recorded his 23rd assist on Thursday night and now has points in two of the last three games. He’s averaging 4.1 fantasy points a game and has been one of the best fantasy defensemen this season. He’s far behind Brent Burns in terms of production but is the second-highest producer among available defensemen tonight. Josi gets a very favorable matchup with Edmonton since the Oilers are ranked 26th against opposing defensemen.
High Value D
Shayne Gostisbehere-Philadelphia Flyers ($5,000): Gostisbehere has heated up once again and will carry a two-game point streak into tonight’s game with the Islanders. He recorded two assists in Thursday’s game at Pittsburgh and is up to 19 points through 27 games this season. The matchup tonight is a decent one for Gostisbehere, as the Islanders are ranked 16th in points given up to defensemen. He’ll make for a good value pick, just be sure to check the status of the game before leaving him in your lineup.
Jake Muzzin-Los Angeles Kings ($4,800): Muzzin has turned into a nice source of offense for the Kings from the blue line and he’s been a surprisingly strong fantasy producer for his owners. With just five goals he won’t score a lot, but his 20 assists show that he’s able to locate this teammates near the net. Muzzin gets a good matchup tonight in Arizona, as the Coyotes are ranked 24th against defensemen. He usually isn’t heavily owned, making him a great value pick to deploy in your lineup tonight.
