1. Cam Newton
There were questions about Cam Newton when he was drafted. There was all this hype about him being a Heisman Trophy winner. There were questions as to whether or not he could play at the next level. I think all those questions have been answered.
Cam will more than likely win the MVP award after the season he put up. He completed fewer than 60% of his passes but that doesn’t matter. He still threw for a career high 35 touchdowns. He threw for over 3,800 yards. He had a career low 10 interceptions. He also ran for over 600 yards and 10 touchdowns. That’s right. He scored a combined 45 touchdowns during the regular season.
Cam didn’t do it with great weapons to throw to either. The only receiver over 800 yards was Greg Olsen, a tight end. Ted Ginn was second with just 739 yards, but the great players make the other guys around them better.
Cam has shown he’s now one of the best in the game and even if the Panthers don’t win this year, they could be at this level for years to come with Superman at the helm.
Cam can throw it and he can run it as well.
