SLIGHT LINEUP UPDATES: Due to the potential of Kenneth Faried playing I tweaked my lineups slightly to remove Darrell Arthur from the top 2 players lineup.
Lineup notes: With so many stars and sleepers tonight, I ended up with three lineups. I always post them in order, so my top lineup appears first. The Kemba/Kawhi lineup has a bit more balance and no real deep sleeper, so that should be a solid low-risk lineup for double-up payout structures although with that lineup you are hoping stars like Cousins, Harden, Curry, and James don’t go off like they have been recently. The other two lineups are higher risk since they have deeper sleepers but that enables a few star options. Those kind of lineups are the way to go for tournament play since you need a higher-risk option to get the upside to get to the top where the money is.
Recent Results: From January 2-23, here is how my picks did. All numbers are fantasy points per 1,000 in salary.
5-star picks (58 picks): 4.808
4-star picks (154 picks): 4.857
3-star picks (216 picks): 4.845
2-star picks (179 picks): 4.900
1-star picks (61 picks): 4.047
Explanation of the stars after each pick: Each one of my picks is ranked for the day on a scale of one to five stars. The more stars that a pick receives represents the more confident I am in that selection. Picks that I give five stars (∗∗∗∗∗) are players that you almost have to own and I have no reservations about owning at their price. Players that get four stars (∗∗∗∗) are players that I think are strong picks to build your roster around. Three-star players (∗∗∗) are middle-of-the-road solid picks who are fairly reliable to produce a good game. Picks receiving two stars (∗∗) are high-risk, high-reward players who do offer enough upside to be in my picks, but also have a significant risk factor that makes them dangerous. One star (∗) players are picks that are the best option around that price point, but who I don’t think are great options. I would take any one-star player over any option not in my picks, but they aren’t picks I would build my roster around.
