Rodney Hood-Utah Jazz (5,900): Hood has been excellent for Utah since they lost Alec Burks and continues to play plenty of minutes in the Jazz rotation since returning from his own ankle injury.  He had a huge game on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden with 29 points, six rebounds, and five assists for 46.75 fantasy points, and has at least 23 fantasy points in six of his seven games since returning.  He’s low-risk since he gets so many minutes, and he should be set up for a solid game against Detroit as the Jazz come back home after their three-game road trip to the East. ∗∗∗

J.R. Smith-Cleveland Cavaliers (5,400): It’s safe to say that Smith’s spot in the rotation is secure under new head coach Tryonn Lue.  Smith played 39 minutes in Lue’s coaching debut and had a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds on his way to 37.75 fantasy points. He comes into tonight’s matchup with 30+ fantasy points in each of his last two games, and the last time the Cavs played Minnesota (who they face tonight) he had a red-hot 27 points in just 19 minutes against the T-Wolves.  Smith looks locked in to the Cavs starting five and he could be a big beneficiary if the Cavs go to a more up-tempo style like they’re talking about. ∗∗∗∗

Manu Ginobili-San Antonio Spurs (4,700): Manu has been the definition of high-risk on the Spurs current road trop totaling -0.5 fantasy points in the game in Phoenix before exploding for 45 fantasy points against the Lakers with 20 points, four boards, four assists, five steals, and two blocks in just 19 minutes.  The Spurs will probably rely on Manu a little more tonight in their great matchup with the Warriors, so if you want a player to cheer for but can’t afford the stars, you can roll the dice with Ginobili.∗

Gary Harris-Denver Nuggets (4,600): Very few of the cheap SG on the board tonight get regular enough minutes to be a low-risk play, but Harris is one of the few exceptions as he continues to start for Denver.  Harris has played at least 30 minutes in seven of his last eight games and has three games with at least 25 fantasy points in three of his last six including in his last game against Detroit when he had 13 points, four rebounds, and five steals for an impressive 29.8 fantasy points. He will look to keep his momentum going against the Hawks tonight in Denver.∗∗∗
