High Salary PF

DeMarcus Cousins-Sacramento Kings (11,000): Cousins is the most expensive player on the board, but he’s impossible to ignore since he couldn’t possibly catch the Hornets at a better time.  Charlotte already lost Al Jefferson and now are without Cody Zeller as well leaving Frank Kaminsky, Spencer Hawes, and Tyler Hansborough to team up to try and slow down the Boogie Train.  Cousins has been phenomenal in his last ten games and is coming off a career-high 48 points on Saturday against the Pacers.  Cousins is averaging 32.5 points, 14.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.0 blocks in those ten games and has at least 63 fantasy points in five of those ten contests including two of his last three.  The Hornets have no one who will slow Cousins down, but there is a chance this game turns non-competitive, so Cousins isn’t a five star play partly because he costs so much. ∗∗

Anthony Davis-New Orleans Pelicans (10,000): Davis and the Pelicans are surging but they’ll run into the suddenly red-hot Rockets tonight in one of the better early games on the schedule.  Davis comes into the game tonight playing well with at least 48 fantasy points in each of his last three games with his usual 20+ points, 7+ rebounds, and good defensive numbers including blocks.  The Rockets have given up more fantasy points than any other team in the NBA to opposing PF, so Davis won’t get a better matchup.  He played two games against Houston already this season and averaged 26.5 points, 13.0 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, and 1.5 assists in those contests.  Look for “the Brow” to take it strong against “the Beard” tonight in a matchup of surging stars before we get toe Warriors-Spurs.

Paul Millsap-Atlanta Hawks (8,300): Millsap is expected to return from a one-game absence due to a death in the family.  He missed Saturday’s game but should be ready to suit up against the Nuggets in a good matchup tonight.  Millsap has at least 42 fantasy points in five of his last seven games and had a very solidly balanced 53 fantasy points against the Kings in his last game Thursday in which he finished with 14 points, 14 rebounds, five steals, four blocks, and three assists.  As long as Millsap is a confirmed go for tonight in Denver, he should feast on a thin Denver frontcourt and put up big numbers tonight. If active-∗∗

Chris Bosh-Miami Heat (7,700): Bosh had a successful return to Toronto scoring 26 points to go with seven rebounds, but the under-manned Heat lost by 20.  He will again be asked to carry the load with so few options offensively, so look for him to put up good numbers against the Bulls even though it’ll be a tall task for Miami to get the win with Wade, Bosh, and a bunch of injuries.
