DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy hockey lineup- January 25
High Salary D
P.K. Subban-Montreal Canadiens ($6,300): Subban didn’t record a goal or an assist on Friday but still managed four fantasy points thanks to five blocked shots and three shots on goal. He’s been playing great lately and hasn’t scored less than three fantasy points since January 5. Tonight in Columbus Subban will once again be a top fantasy pick at defenseman. He’s got points in nine of the last 11 games and needs to be used in your lineup tonight.
Mark Giordano-Calgary Flames ($6,600): With another assist last night, Giordano now has a three-game point streak going. With 18 points in the last 15 games, Giordano has been fantasy gold lately. He has quickly turned into one of the best defensemen available from a fantasy standpoint. In what’s been a trend the last few games, Giordano is a must-start tonight. The Dallas Stars haven’t matched up well with defenseman this year, making the selection of Giordano even better.
High Value D
Shayne Gostisbehere-Philadelphia Flyers ($5,000): Gostisbehere picked up two assists in his last game on Thursday and now has a two-game point streak. The Flyers were scheduled to play on Saturday in New York but the game was postponed due to the weather. Gostisbehere will get a chance tonight against Boston to continue his streak. He’s put up 19 points through 27 games and has burst onto the scene as a reliable fantasy center. Gostisbehere is no longer a surprise but he still holds plenty of value.
Marco Scandella-Minnesota Wild ($4,000): Scandella only has 14 total points this season but his last few games have made him relevant for fantasy hockey. He has recorded three assists in the last two games and is a candidate for a sleeper pick tonight. Arizona hasn’t been good against defensemen this season, and that bodes well for Scandella. He has an average of 2.3 fantasy points a game but has earned his owners at least four points in the last two games. Scandella could prove to be a very smart choice tonight.
