High Salary G

Tuukka Rask-Boston Bruins ($7,900): Based on matchups and players that might get a night off, there are not any real attractive options tonight as far as high salary goalies go. However, one that is worth a look is Tuukka Rask. He’s been very inconsistent this season but has shown flashes of his brilliance at times. He took a loss his last time out but had two straight wins prior to that. He gets a good matchup tonight with Philadelphia. The Flyers are ranked 28th in the NHL with an average of 2.2 goals per game. Again, there are some better lower-priced options than Rask, but he’s definitely worth a look tonight.

High Value G

Louis Domingue-Arizona Coyotes ($6,700): Domingue has cooled down a bit as of late but he’s played extremely well since taking over the starting job in Arizona. He’s posted a record of 8-4-3 and has a 2.20 GAA. After losing two straight games Domingue got back in the win column on Saturday with a strong showing against a tough Los Angeles team, stopping 26 of 28 shots. He’ll draw a family good match with Minnesota tonight. Although it’s a road game, the Wild are not one of the highest-scoring teams in the NHL. Domingue still carries a great price tag and has become a viable fantasy starter.

Jaroslave Halak-New York Islanders ($7,500): Halak was strong on Friday night when he stopped 28 of 30 shots in a win over Ottawa. He’s been up and down this season with a record of 12-8-4. He lost his first two starts earlier this month after making his return from injury, however, he’s now won two of the last three games. Halak goes up against Detroit tonight, a team ranked 21st in the NHL with an average of 2.4 goals per game.

Kari Lehtonen-Dallas Stars ($7,100): If there’s been one weak part of the Dallas Stars this season it’s been the play of the goaltenders. Antti Niemi and Kari Lehtonen have both been on a timeshare and neither have played particularly well. With that said, the Stars score a lot of goals and provide plenty of support to whoever is playing goalie. After sitting the last two games, Lehtonen should be the one in net tonight. Although his numbers are not great (2.80 GAA, .908 save percentage), he does have a decent record of 13-5. Despite the poor numbers, Lehtonen has a chance for a win each night he gets a start. He should be the one to get the nod tonight in good matchup with Calgary.
